You know, I look around me at work and I see the acute differences between male and female in the workplace. Most of the men are in positions of authority and most of the females are in positions of supporting the males. Actually, that works the same way in most home environments as well – the male sits around giving orders and the female does most of the work (having just completed a full day’s work at the office).

The male on the other hand, having completed his full day’s work at the office, needs a break and a beer or a game of golf to relieve the pressure! Now, what that says to me is that women appear to have far more resilience and adaptability than men. After all, a working mother holds down two full time jobs very capably. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti-male – they are beautiful creatures that require constant nurturing (pretty exhausting actually).

As for the women who have managed to rise up out of the ranks onto equal footing with the males in the working environment – forget it! Your male peers will never consider you their equal – they will always see you as cosmetic necessities dictated by statute, constitutions or some such other nuisance!

So – what do we do about it? I’m not really sure – I can think of some ways out of this second class citizenship, but most of them involve the infliction of severe pain to the seat of male emotion – which can be located in his nether regions and not in his brain!

So if there are any really crafty women out there who can get us started on the road to equality you would have my vote a thousand times over – because it won’t be brains, resilience or adaptability that will win the day, we’ve already got that and it still hasn’t worked!
