FLAT ROOF MANOR

This week, we have a great wine for review - it's called the Pinot Gricio, its one of the wonderful wines produced by FLAT ROOF MANOR

It's delicious and as if it could be more appealing, note that it is made by a woman!  Estelle Lourens is responsible for this ambrosia that comes from Stellenbosch.  Estelle was awarded Best Student in Oenology (fancy word for the study of wine and winemaking) at Stellenbosch University and was appointed Winemaker in 2000 at Uitkyk (as in outlook).

It was there that she made friends with the cat, which is always visible on logos.  The witty sayings make the labels as attractive as the wine.  It is also a screwtop bottle - so, no more floaty cork bits, no more wanting to kill yourself for forgetting to carry a cork-screw!

What can you expect?  It is a lovely light wine.  Expect a bouquet (that's the aromas eminating from the wine) of dried peach and apricot, as well as a hint of litchi.  This is a light, fruity wine and is perfect to sip on at anytime.
